Weber is known for their great line of Weber BBQ grills, they also have a Weber grill cover for each of their barbecue grills. Once you have purchased your new Weber BBQ grill, you will want to get a Weber grill cover to keep it protected from the elements. There are two lines of Weber grill covers, a premium line and a standard line. I would suggest if your grill is exposed to the elements, go with the premium Weber grill cover. They are more heavy duty and a better quality of material. It is a heavy duty vinyl made of Kelvar fibers that, even in the coldest weather, will not crack. If your Weber barbecue grill is kept in a covered area and you just want to keep it clean, the standard cover should work. I will give a run down of some of the more popular Weber grill covers.

The Right Weber Grill Cover

The Weber Premium Kettle Grill Cover, fits 22.5 Inch charcoal grills. This Weber grill cover will fit all of the Weber 22.5 inch kettle grills. It gives great protection to your grill, hanging nearly all the way to the ground. This premium cover got 4+ star rating. I might add that the standard Weber BBQ cover in this model only got a 3 star rating.

The Weber Premium Cover for Genesis Gas Grills is a very popular cover. There are over two hundred customer ratings on Amazon and it has a 4+ rating. This cover is designed for both the Genesis E and S series gas grills. According to customer comments, Weber listened to customer feedback and replaced the vents with Velcro straps that holds the cover firmly in place even with strong winds. Who doesn’t want an attractive grill, with all other factors being equal.  I talked about how easy it was to start with the Touch and Go propane system, how easy is the clean up when you are finished. Us guys like the grilling part, but most of us hate the cleanup. Weber has helped us here also with the One Touch stainless steel cleaning system. You just slide a leaver and the ashes are dumped into the black ash catcher which is made of aluminum. It slides out for easy disposal of the left over ashes. There is a dual purpose thermometer that gives you an accurate temperature reading inside the grill and then can be removed and inserted into meat to get internal meat temperatures. The dual purpose thermometer may not be available on all models. There is a handy work surface made out of Thermoset ( a plastic like substance), which is easily cleaned and stands up to mother nature. The work surface is large enough for most needs.  You really need a work surface or you will have to have a flat surface nearby to hold the meat etc. or you will find you don’t have enough hands. It has wheels which enable you to move it around and the front wheels have a locking mechanism which keeps it from moving during use.

There are two charcoal briquette holders which you use when getting the charcoal lit and then you can pour them out or use them to be able to have an area for direct grilling and  another area for indirect cooking. Each holder is a half circle, so when placed together they take up about half of the grilling area. These take a little getting used to, but then most customers really liked them. There is also a charcoal storage that will hold about twenty pounds of charcoal and since it is underneath, the charcoal stays dry and ready top use. You will find a three tool holders molded into the unit which holds the most commonly used tools. The grills themselves are hinged so you can easily add charcoal or wood to the grill during use without having to remove the whole grill. Weber has a Tuck-Away lid holder which allows you to move the lid to the side where it will be out of your way while you turn your meat.
